How to develop a prayer life with the Lord?
First, a few truths about prayer...
Prayer is not a transaction but a connection.
Prayer changes things, without prayer, things change you.
If you are prayerless you are powerless.
Now here are 5 things to know while developing a powerful prayer life.
16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:16)
17 pray without ceasing, (1 Thessalonians 5:16)
2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)
17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. (James 5:17-18)
39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” (Matthew 26:39)
Prayer is oxygen to us that follow Jesus.
