5 Benefits To Knowing Who You Are In Christ - Part 2/5

There's benefits to being a child of God.
There's benefits to loving & serving God.

There's benefits to knowing who you are in Christ.

Here are 5 benefits to knowing who you are in Christ.

#1 You will have true confidence
When you TRULY know who you are in Christ, there is a confidence that starts to show up that you’ve never felt before.
People always ask how sometimes I’m bold in my faith…

It’s because the Lord revealed who I REALLY am in Him.

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. (1 John 5:14-15)

#2 You will not compare yourself to others.

Competition gets us to think the WRONG people who have the RIGHT gifts are our enemy…

& we tend to compete because we see things they have that we don’t!

Know you are in Christ so you don’t compare yourself.

Praise God for the gifts He has given others that are doing life with you!

12 For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. (2 Corinthians 10:12)
#3 The fruits of the Spirit will manifest and grow in you.

Fruits grow.
The fruit of the Spirit will continue to grow in your life.

The fruits growing is evidence you’re growing and maturing as a believer
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

#4 Having a deep relationship with the Holy Spirit& knowing who you are in Christ will help you to focus on the promises of God & enable you to know God’s purpose for your life; which can eliminate insecurity, competition, pride, self-righteousness, jealousy or envy.

Knowing our purpose allows us to live in a secure life with God.

Our purpose also helps us eliminate things that are NOT of the Lord.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

#5 You will have peace that surpasses all understanding.

In this world we will have tribulation.

In Christ we will have peace.

True peace!
A peace that even though you’re going through storms in life, peace is there.

He is the Prince of Peace, that’s Jesus!

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
