Is this a divine delay or demonic attack?
Are we living in season due to our own decisions or the devil?
Let's discern ways in the season we are in... if the devil is really attacking us?
#1 After baptism Matthew 3:16-17
16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17)
Pray for those that get baptized in the Holy Spirit.
They may face extreme warfare, but nothing that the blood of Jesus cannot overcome.
They must be trained in the word of God & covered by those that want to see them grow spiritually mature.
#2 Launching into a new season Matthew 4:17
17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)
When Jesus launched His ministry, He received critics.
If you ever want to 'not' have critics... become irrelevant.
When you're relevant towards God's will in your life, you may attract critics... & that's okay.
Fear God... do not have a fear of man.
#3 Physically weak & vulnerable Matthew 4:2-3
2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” (Matthew 4:2-3)
Jesus was tempted everyday in the wilderness.
He got tempted by the enemy... & the enemy loves to come when you are weak.
But the bible says that when we are weak, He is strong (2 Corinthians 12:10)
#4 Alone & lonely Matthew 4:1
1Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. (Matthew 4:1)
There are times when its okay to be alone with the Lord... & there are other times when you need others to pick you back up. (Ecclesiastes 4:11)
#5 Close people Matthew 16:22-23
22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” 23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” (Matthew 16:22-23)
Peter walked with Jesus, talked with Jesus... yet tried rebuke God Himself...
Now, this wasn't Peter's fault, he genuinely cared for the Lord... but God's will is always higher than ours.
There may be people who may not understand God's will over your life, & that's okay.
Trust God above all.
Stop trying to convince people of a vision God only showed you.
#6 When you’re vulnerable Luke 4:13
13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. (Luke 4:13)
#7 When you're about to do deliverance Mark 4:35-41
35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” (Mark 4:35-41)
Jesus was about to do deliverance right before this part in scripture.
& we knew it was the enemy because He had to 'rebuke' it.
We rebuke devils in Jesus name.
Just know you're authority as a child of God when adversary comes.
#8 When things are resurrecting around you Mark 5:35-43
35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” 37 And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. 38 Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. 39 When He came in, He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping.” 40 And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying. (Mark 5:35-40)
Sometimes you have to put everyone out of the room who doesn't believe.
There are people that are not meant to be in the room... and they might even be close friends or family.
Ask yourself... who is in the room?
They might be the ones attacking you.
#9 When you’re speaking TRUTH John 8:37-59
37 “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. 38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father.” 39 They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. 41 You do the deeds of your father.” Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.” 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” (John 8:37-47)
When you're speaking truth... religious devils manifest.
Never let a man made religion try to muzzle you from speaking truth.
Jesus was confronting religious devils in this text.
