We serve a glorious God who desires to set us free and deliver us from bondage through faith in Christ. Here are 7 Steps to Deliverance:
1. Humble yourself before God.
"But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: 'God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”' (James 4:6)
2. Be completely honest.
Be honest with your past and what you went through so you can be set free from it in Jesus' name.
3. Confess your sins.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
4. Repent and renounce all evil.
Repent means to change your mind. You need to change your mind and turn away from your wicked ways to receive deliverance.
"The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate." (Proverbs 8:13)
5. Forgive others.
If their name comes to your mind and you get angry, then you haven't forgiven them. "But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:26)
6. Call on the Lord.
"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
7. Wait on the Lord.
Patience is a fruit of the spirit. Sometimes deliverance is a process and sometimes God will do it supernaturally on the spot. either way, don't doubt God, be patient, and believe. "But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31
