Not by might, nor by power but through His Spirit!
Are you feeling powerless as a Christian?
There are season's of ups and downs in our walk with Christ.
The Christian walk was never promised to be easy, but it does lead to life.
In fact the narrow gate is difficult.
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.(Matthew 7:13-14)
May you continue to live a surrendered life with God.
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
This is not the great opinion.
This is not the great suggestion.
This is not the great option.
This is the great commission!
46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And you are witnesses of these things. 49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:46-48)
The Holy Spirit is that Promise that Jesus told His disciples. And we saw that Spirit fall fresh on the day of Pentecost.
1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-4)
The anointing is the power of the Holy Spirit that activates & works through us!
Our gifts will draw people to us.
The anointing will draw people to Jesus.
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)
It wasn't Apostle Paul's speech... it was his ability to demonstrate God's power! And only the Lord can do that through him and us.
How to activate power of God?
#1 Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
#2 Prayer & fasting.
#3 Holiness & Consecration.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit [a]and fire. (Matthew 3:11)
John the Baptist says he baptizes with water unto repentance...but Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit and fire!
That is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
How do you know you have been baptized by the Holy Spirit?
Your spiritual appetite starts to change.
You no longer desire the world.
You no longer desire consuming yourself in sin.
You no longer desire anything related to darkness or the demonic.
Fasting without prayer is just a glorified diet.
You must do BOTH simultaneously! They both work in effective ways & go hand in hand.
To live holy & consecrated is to set yourself apart.
You're constantly guarding your mind and heart from anything wicked.
As you're going through seasons, make sure you keep your faith in Christ!
The principles of faith are taught.
But the spirit of faith is caught.
