How The Holy Spirit Pours On Our Heart

There’s no other ‘religion’ out there that has the Holy Spirit.

As followers of Christ, we’ve been graced & gifted with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, our Helper, our Guide, our Revelator, our Teacher…

4 The He that is within me is greater than he that is within this world. (1 John 4:4)

3 He must increase but we must decrease (John 3:30)

& the Holy Spirit is IN you for YOU but the Holy Spirit is ON you for others.

I pray you activate the power of the Holy Spirit in you.

Just because you have the Holy Spirit, doesn’t mean the Holy Spirit has you.

Surrender to His will & His ways.

May His Spirit overflow in your life so that you may follow Jesus & have a desire to continue to obey Him.

Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane said, “The flesh is weak but the Spirit is willing.”

5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:1-5)

We have access to peace with our faith that has been justified by God.

Make sure you're faith is in Christ!

That our tribulations produce hope... knowing the love of God has been poured out by the Holy Spirit into our hearts.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

Love Jesus more than you love the world.

Learn to discern the world's 'patterns' so you may be transformed and renewed in your mind.

3 Keys To Understanding How The Holy Spirit Pours On On Hearts...

Renews

Restores

Refreshes

#1 Renews

3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:3-7)

Regeneration - new birth, reproduction, renewal, recreation, regeneration, renovation

Renewal - 1. a renewal, renovation, complete change for the better

Just like a new house needs to tear down the old to build new, the Holy Spirit does a renovation inside of us.

We must let go of the former to move forward.

We must forget the former things so God can do a brand new thing (Isaiah 43)

What old thoughts, patterns, and habits do we need to break?

#2 Restores

Restores - to return, turn back, to restore, refresh, repair (fig)

The Holy Spirit can help repair, to restore.

David was a man after God's heart, during his Psalm 51 prayer, He asked God to restore the joy of God's salvation over His life.

This chapter is a prayer of repentance after he committed adultery, fornication, & murder... this was a TRUE prayer of repentance that came from the heart of David.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. (Psalm 51:12)

3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. (Psalm 23:3)

25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, (Joel 2:25)

God is in the restoration business.

#3 Refreshes

refreshing - properly, a recovery of breath, i.e. (figuratively) revival:—revival.

19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, (Acts 3:19-20)

Every key activates through real repentance.

Repentance activates the refreshing.

To change your mind is the act of repentance. Turn away from wicked ways & turn to Christ!

May the Lord's presence refresh you.
