How To Be Filled With The Holy Spirit (3 Simple Bible Verses)

Want to know how to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

We've studied a few scriptures that share about the process that starts our journey to being filled with the Holy Spirit.
We believe every persons journey to how they become filled may be different.
But the scriptures give us the start to allowing that process to begin.

18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, (Ephesians 5:18)
We are called to be filled with the Spirit.

Here are 3 ways to be filled with the Holy Spirit:

#1 Believe

38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38)

Jesus says we must believe in Him! & as we do it will allow the rivers of living water to flow through our heart.

This shows that God's spirit can do a spiritual surgery in our heart & to allow His spirit to flow through it.

Water is symbolic for the Holy Spirit as we continue to study scriptures.

#2 Thirst for God

3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring; (Isaiah 44:3)

When we can thirst for God.

His promise to pour His spirit onto us is truth!

Continue to thirst for God above all!

Thirst for Him rather than the desires & cares of this world.

#3 Hunger for righteousness

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6)
When we can hunger and thirst for His righteousness, we shall be filled.

Righteousness is being right with God.

Hunger for being right with God.
That's true obedience to the Lord.

Now..

All of this wouldn't be possible to stay disciplined without His Spirit AND His word.

We need the word of God to get us through the trials, tribulations & challenges in life.
For the constant renewing of the mind & transformation in the heart.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4)

God bless you!
