God's will is found in God's word.
If you want to know the will of God, you must study His word.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
So what's God's will on MY life?
First, we must seek His general will to receive the revelation of His specific will on our life.
Here are the 4 secrets to God's will:
#1 Renewed mind
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)
The biggest prison in the world is not the physical prison, it's the mind.
When we can renew the mind, we can understand more of the 'perfect will of God'.
Simply Uncaged means to be renewed in the mind.
#2 Holiness
We are called to live a lifestyle of holiness.
Now, let's not get holiness mixed up with being perfect.
Progression over perfection.
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. (1 Thessalonians 4:7)
Holy means pure, morally blameless, consecrated, set apart, sacred, belonging to God.
To live a life full of holiness brings purity.
& there is power in purity.
That's why we have the Holy Spirit.
He who is within me is greater than He who is within this world.
#3 Prayer
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Prayer is what feeds our spirit.
#4 Church
There is so much importance in community.
This is how the church in the book of Acts grew.
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:42-47)
#5 The word of God
17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:17-21)
The word of God is our roadmap.
It is a blueprint for the believer to receive divine revelation.
The Holy Spirit with the word of God continues to help us increase our understanding & wisdom of the Lord.
I pray you continue to seek God's will on your life daily.
29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29)
