How to be filled with the Holy Spirit?
Let’s first talk about being filled with the Holy Spirit.
I believe you have the Holy Spirit & sometimes we doubt it.
We may have fell short of sin & temptations.
Might have lost the fire for God
Evil thoughts…
It’s normal, but we need to know the TRUTH!
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, (Ephesians 5:18-20)
When we can sing melody’s in our heart for the Lord we are filling ourselves up through WORSHIP!
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6)
When we hunger & thirst for Jesus & His righteousness.. we shall be FILLED!
How to know we have the Holy Spirit? Lets talk the 3 keys.
#1 Your fruit.
Our fruit is our character.
Jesus says we will know them by their fruit.
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor *can* a bad tree bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. (Matthew 7:15-20)
Here are the FRUITS of the Holy Spirit
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. (Ephesians 5:22-26)
Our fruit is our character in Christ.
How we respond in both public & private settings.
#2 Your love for Jesus.
15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord *is.18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:15-21)
Our love for Jesus to glorify Him, give Him thanks is evident we have the Holy Spirit.
To have a mind of Christ & to be more like Jesus.

#3 Your love for holiness.
Being holy means to be set apart.
(1 Peter 1:2)
(1 Peter 2:9-10)
(Hebrews 12:14-15)
22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. (Romans 6:22)
He is called the Holy Spirit.
So our love for holiness and to be right before the Lord is evident we have the Holy Spirit!
