What Does It Mean To Be FILLED With The Holy Spirit

When the Holy Spirit indwells or infills? Whats the difference?

Indwelling is resident.

Infilling is president.

When we receive Jesus, we receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit can be a continuous event.
It can be a daily event.

What's one way to be filled with the Spirit?

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6)

How to know you are filled with the Spirit?
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:18-21)
Now here are 5 evidence you may be filled with the Holy Spirit.

If you don't have 1 or the other, do not question whether you are filled or not.
Some may prophesy as evidence of being filled the Holy Spirit.

Others may speak in tongues as evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Let's say you don't prophesy, don't think you are not filled with the Holy Spirit.

God gives gifts as He wills.
Again, do not think you are not filled because you don't have any of the evidence we've shared or listed.
There are several ways to know you are filled with the Holy Spirit, these are just a few based on scripture.

#1 PROPHESY

67 Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:.. (Luke 1:67)

#2 Speaking in tongues & in the spirit

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:4)

#3 Boldness

31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. (Acts 4:31)

#4 Compassion & love

54 When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with *their*
teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” (Acts 7:54-56)

#5 Joy of the Lord

49 And the word of the Lord was being spread throughout all the region. 50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, raised up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region. 51 But they shook off the dust from their feet against them, and came to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 13:49-52)

God bless you!

& hope you can discern the difference between demonic tongues & heavenly tongues.

Just because someone is prophesying, doesn't mean its the Holy Spirit.
Let the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth & reveal the Lords revelation.
Pray the Lord enlightens the eyes of your understanding! (Ephesians 1:18)
