I see prayer as an instrument.
And there are several types of instruments we can use for prayer. Today I'm going to share with you a few..
#1 Praise
#2 Thanksgiving
#3 Worship
#4 Petition
"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." (Psalm 100:4)
"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24)
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." (1 John 5:14-15)
Praise is an offering to God for honoring Him for who He is & what He does.
Thanksgiving is an offering to God for honoring Him for what He has done.
Worship is an attitude.
Petition is simply asking God for things..
