Where Should Christians Pray?

What does the bible say about where we should pray?

Prayer changes things & without prayer, things change you.

Prayer is like oxygen for the believer.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— (Ephesians 6:18)
Where did Jesus pray?
35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

Jesus prayed in a solitary place.
A place with no interruption & quietness.

Jesus disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray.

11 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

Prayer was taught by Jesus.

The disciples didn't ask Him to teach them how to preach, but to pray.

There is something powerful of prayer that can also be taught to us as His disciples
What the bible says about where we pray?

6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (Matthew 6:6)
Private prayer vs Public Corporate prayer
13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ” (Matthew 21:13)

It's great to pray in private.

It's great pray in public with others in agreement.

We need BOTH.

Do you have a prayer place?

Your prayer place can shift.

It doesn't have to be a fancy setup.

Just a place of private time & quietness with no interruptions.

You may have an office, room, closet, or even your car.

Make a place where you always meet the Father daily in private.
